Data Deletion Instructions
1. Overview
This page explains how you can request deletion of personal data that Vagary Labs LLP ("Vagary Labs LLP", "we", "our", "us") holds about you across our products and services, operated under the Vagary Labs technology and R&D division (including Vagary Voice, Bellring, Aakhara, Pulseboard, and the Vagary Platform substrate). This page complements our Privacy Policy and is provided to satisfy data-deletion-instruction requirements (including those of Meta Platforms App Review and equivalent third-party platforms).
2. What Data We Collect
We collect personal information necessary to provide and improve our services, including account information (email, name, hashed password), product-specific content (voice recordings, transcripts, conversation history), technical data (IP, browser, device, approximate location), usage data, and payment metadata. Not every product holds every category; a product holds only what it needs to function. For full categories and the lawful bases on which we process this data, see Sections 2–3 of our Privacy Policy.
3. How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, send an email to our privacy contact:

Subject: Data Deletion Request
Body: Include the email address associated with your account and the product you used (Vagary Voice, or a Vagary Platform site such as Index of News). If you signed in via a third-party provider (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta), state which provider.
We acknowledge receipt within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days of verified request, in line with the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Identity verification may be required before we act on a deletion request; we will not delete an account at the instruction of a person we cannot reasonably verify as the account holder.
4. What Gets Deleted
On a verified deletion request, we delete:
- Your account record (email, name, hashed password, organisation, preferences).
- Product-specific content tied to your account, where the product holds it: voice recordings and transcripts (Vagary Voice); and user-generated content stored in the Vagary Platform.
- Linked OAuth tokens and integration credentials.
- Support correspondence linked to your account, except where retained for legal reasons (see Section 5).
5. What Does Not Get Deleted
We retain a limited set of data even after account deletion where there is an overriding lawful basis:

Anonymised data — where no individual can be identified from it — is not personal data and is not subject to deletion.
6. Third-Party Sign-In Providers
If you signed up via a third-party authentication provider (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta, GitHub), deleting your Vagary Labs LLP account removes the linkage on our side but does not revoke access at the provider. To revoke the third-party permission grant after deletion, visit the provider's app-permissions page:
- Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Apple: appleid.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → Apps Using Apple ID
- Microsoft: account.live.com/consent/Manage
- Meta (Facebook): facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations
- GitHub: github.com/settings/applications
7. Per-Product Notes
The email route in Section 3 is the canonical deletion path for every product. One product additionally offers an in-product self-service control:
- Vagary Platform — sign in, open Profile, and use Danger zone → Delete my account. The control requires you to type a confirmation phrase.
No other product currently ships a self-service deletion control. For Vagary Voice, use the email route. Anjaan has been retired and is no longer available; if you used it while it was running, your rights over any data we still hold are unaffected by the retirement — use the email route above and say you are asking about Anjaan. Bellring and Aakhara are in development, are not available to users, and hold no user data. Pulseboard is an open-source Android application that uploads only to a Google Sheet the person who deploys it controls; Vagary Labs LLP operates no Pulseboard server and holds no Pulseboard data, so there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling the app removes its local data, and the operator of the Sheet controls the uploaded aggregates.
Where a product-level option is unavailable or fails, the email route above is always accepted.
8. Your Other Rights
Deletion is one of several rights you have over your personal data. You may also exercise rights of access, rectification, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. See Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
9. Contact and Follow-Up
If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 48 hours, or if you wish to follow up on a pending request, write to [email protected] with the subject "Data Deletion Follow-Up" and your original request reference.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (DPDP Act, 2023) or your local supervisory authority (GDPR / UK-DPA / CCPA-CPRA) if you are dissatisfied with our handling of your request.
10. Changes to These Instructions
We may update this page from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The "Effective Date" above will be updated accordingly.
